Planning to attempt a marathon is it? Well, most athletes prepare well in advance before a marathon and a week is not sufficient time for preparing properly. You obviously need a lot of energy for running a marathon and you must go on a high carb diet. Include foods that have high carbs like potatoes, breads, pastas and cereals. Vegetables and fruits are also ideal. Avoid any fatty foods as they leave the muscles with very limited fuel. Eat a small meal at regular intervals throughout the day. Avoid stuffing yourself. Reduce your caffeine conmption as the water levels in your body will reduce. Run Well
