Slow and steady movements help you last the course when you are going uphill on a mountain bike. A good posture is also important while riding the bike uphill. Lean slightly forward when going uphill. This gives greater traction to your wheels and thus prevents you from going out of control. Lift up from your seat and lean towards the handlebars, gripping tightly on them. The trick to uphill driving is endurance. You need to have energy to finish the climb so learn to conserve your energy. Zooming off at a high speed is likely to result in your uphill mountain ride fizzling out.
