It’s not tough to remain focused and energetic throughout the day. Most of us do have a post-lunch or afternoon slump when our energy levels dip and concentration wavers. But a few simple measures can help combat the problem. Make your lunch a healthy one with lots of vegetables and whole grains. This gives you the fuel to regain your focus. Consider a small power nap. If it’s not practical, then definitely schedule a “me-time” after lunch. Close your eyes and relax, shutting out all outside noise. Open your eyes after 10 minutes and feel the positive difference in your energy levels. If all else fails, have a cup of coffee. The caffeine burst in your blood stream will definitely wake you up.
