Here are some tips to get you rid off the cough.-
*Place your face over a warm steamy cup of water. This will have the same effect as the humidifier. The steam from these activities will help loosen the mucus in the nose and chest which in turn will help provide a remedy for cough.
*Take a cough drop every once in a while. This won't relieve your cough per say, however, it will help some of the symptoms. In addition, sucking on it will give you a low stress activity to focus on other than the cough.
*Take decongestants. These help with congestion issues in your nose, which will help keep it from interfering with your breathing and thus nagging cough.
*If your conditions last longer than a week, go to the family physician or doctor. There may be another underlining reason that may be causing your hard coughing. Other treatments may have to be sought if that is the situation.
