Runny stool or loose stool or simply diarrhea can be frustrating but it is manageable and can be cured. There are two conditions acute and chronic stools. While acute runny stools occur suddenly and disappear within days, chronic runny stools are more dangerous and need medical attention. Runny stools occur due to eating certain types of foods. Keep a food log and determine what foods cause the runny stools. Avoid all dairy products. Take lots of water and clear liquids to prevent dehydration. Toast and soda crackers are good for runny stools. Consult your doctor immediately and take the prescribed medicine. Many unwanted trips to the bathroom can leave you weak and drained.
