Lactose intolerance is the inability of the body to absorb lactose, the sugar found in milk. This sugar is usually digested by an enzyme called lactase. However, if your body does not produce enough lactase, then you could suffer from cramps, intestinal pain and diarrhea each time you consume milk. If you do have lactose intolerance, use lactase enzymes when you consume milk. Add a bit of cocoa in the milk, as it fights lactose intolerance. Be sure to eat something along with your glass of milk. Of course, you could abstain from dairy products and thus not have to deal with lactose intolerance at all.

Hi Kate there is no cure as such for lactose intolerance. It can be treated only by the avoidance of milk and sometimes all the dairy products.
