Controlling hunger is not so easy. I had to struggle a lot to control my hunger. Then I came to know that by taking healthy food one can control hunger. You need to increase the intake of fluids. It can be water, soups or sugarless fruit juices. Always try to have soups before main food. This will cut down your hunger. Eat more veggies and leafy greens. They are rich in dietary fibers that can satisfy your hunger. Try to have fruits or nuts when you get hunger pangs. Take smaller portions of food that consists of unpolished cereal grains and avoid refined carbohydrates.
