Metabolic rate can be altered either to decrease or increase your weight. I was advised to change my basic metabolic rate (BMR) and reduce weight during my previous checkup. By regular work outs and balanced diet I have increased the BMR and have reduced considerable weight. I avoided crash diet plans since I knew that they can do more harm than good. So to increase your metabolic rate and reduce weight you can go for regular exercises and a diet chart that consists of unpolished cereal grains, lots of vegetables, fruits, egg whites, fish, green tea, white meat and low fat dairy products. Proper sleep is also necessary to stay healthy.
