Long distance runners can follow many breathing exercises that will allow them to breathe in an easier way during a race. There are many exercises that they can follow, and they are normally trained on how to time their breathing perfectly. This can be taught only by a professional trainer and this involves inhaling during the first three steps (left, right, left) and later exhaling immediately during the next two steps (right, left). This is a very effective technique that they master through constant practice. You can try working on this technique in order to run for longer distances without getting exhausted along the way.
