Generally speaking, people with HIV/AIDS should try to eat a diet that is 30% protein, 30% fat, and 40% carbohydrates. And eat 3-5 vegetable servings and 2-4 fruit servings every day.

Foods to include:
Protein-rich foods include lean meats, fish, beans, low fat dairy products,Sprouts and nuts.
Include more of Antioxidant, fiber, vitamins & minerals foods like :
Milk, dark green, orange, spinach, pumpkin, green peppers, squash, carrots, papaya,
whole grains, meat, fish, poultry, eggs, peanut butter, and nuts(Selenium rich foods)
green leafy vegetables, whole grain breads and pastas, dried fruit, beans, red meat-very less qty, chicken, liver, fish(iron rich foods).
citrus fruits (like oranges, Amla,Sweet lime grapefruit, and lemons), tomatoes, and potatoes.
white beans, potatoes, meat, fish, chicken, watermelon, grains, nuts, avocados, broccoli, and green leafy vegetables(B-complex) .
Foods to be avoid :High fat - protein foods like Fatty meats (hamburger, hot dogs, bacon, sausage), fried chicken, high-fat dairy products (whole milk, cheese, ice cream), High fat -carb foods like Refined sugars (cakes, cookies, candy, soda, and sugary cereal), white flour (doughnuts and pastry), French fries.

Eating right can make your body and your immune system stronger.
When you are HIV-positive, you may need to eat more. Be sure to eat a diet that is high in proteins and calories.
Exercise can stimulate your appetite and make you feel like eating more.
Try to drink less coffee, tea, cola, and avoid excessive beer, wine, or liquor consumption.
Drink water at least 3-4 liters .
