If you are among those who are concerned about your body not absorbing the nutrients you consume, there is no need to worry!. Eat more servings of raw fruits, veggies and unpasteurized milk which are high in enzymes. Reduce the intake of cooked food as the heating process kills a lot of enzymes. Enzymes break down food and store excess nutrients in the body. Eat a lot of fermented foods like yogurt, and probiotic drinks that help in regulating your digestive track. Black pepper is also very good as it increases the absorption of minerals like selenium in the body. Vegetable salads with olive oil help in the absorption of vital nutrients like lutein and beta carotene. Finally remember to chew your food well, this helps in better absorption of nutrients in your body.
