Fruits digest very fast. They are rich in simple sugars .Many people have the habit of eating fruits after dinner. Fruit may not aid digestion but it will certainly not affect digestion of your dinner. Now a days nutritionists recommend to take fruits not in combination with any other foods but alone. The other food may interfere with the digestion of fruits .Inside a heavy tummy the fruit sugars will ferment. Fruit nutrients may not properly be absorbed..So best thing is to have your dinner early. Have fruits 2-3 hours after that .So you reap the benefits of both. Harm is also reduced -no heartburns or gas.

    Hey Surabhi,
You're not really supposed to eat anything just before going to bed.Your body slows down while at rest including the digestive system. All fruits have fructose so although you get antioxidants from the red fruits, your also eating allot of sugar, besides too much of anything is bad for your body no matter what time of day.
