No, even if its green tea which has so many health benefits. The chemicals in tea will affect body's absorption of nutrients esp; iron. This can cause anemia. Even in weight loss regimes green tea that burns fat is advised in between meals; not immediately after it .Food is our major source of nutrients. Staying healthy doesn't only mean burning the calories and staying thin. You shouldn't be nutrient deficient. All those vitamins and minerals are essential. So give time for the body to take all it needs for staying healthy. Allow the digestion to be completed .Drinking tea 2-3 hours after the meals is the best method.

Black, green, white, and oolong teas all come from the same plant known as Camellia Sinensis. The more processing the leaves of the plant undergo, the darker they will turn. Regardless of the processing method, green/herbal tea not only tastes good, but can have health benefits as well if you drink it immediately after a meal:
*It help the body to digest food which will help you to have regular bowel movements, less likely to experience bloating and other discomfort, and that you’ll generally be able to relax and allow your body to digest the food as it should.
*Many people suffer from flatulence and bloating after eating a variety of different types of foods. Herbal teas of different kinds can help to ease these natural reactions to particular foods.
*People often find that they suffer from stomach cramps after overeating or consuming particular quantities or types of food. In these cases, herbal tea can act as a natural pain reliever and also help the food to settle in your stomach so that you don’t feel as full or as cramped after you finish eating.
*If you tend to retain fluids after you’ve eaten, you may wind up feeling bloated and heavy for hours or even days after you complete a meal. In these cases, particular types of herbal tea may be able to act as a diuretic.
