    Yes, dehydration can actually cause fever. During dehydration, as the name suggests, the water level in your body is brought down by a large extent and this weakens the immune system. A weak immune system makes the body more prone to infections and this will result in fever. During fever, the body raises its temperature in order to fight the infections, so only cases of chronic dehydration will experience fever as an effect. If you experience the same, contact your Doctor immediately and drink plenty of water. Doctors will help you maintain the fluid balance in your body through IV fluids.
