    Hi Anju Agrwal

No.. There are different methods for dieting, choosing of methods is important. Healthy balanced dieting method is very good for weight lose as well as for health. A balanced diet means getting the right types(Carbohydrates, protein ,fat, vitamins, minerals) and amounts of foods and drinks to supply nutrition and energy for maintaining body cells, tissues, and organs, and for supporting normal growth and development.
Other dieting method like dash diet , fast weight lose dieting methods, etc ,this are leads to health problems.

Hi Anju..dieting in general is fine if you want to loose weight. But just make sure that it is balanced in terms of all the essential nutrients except for fat and too much of calories. It can be continued for a longer period keeping in mind the nutritional adequacy of your diet. Keep the following points in mind while you are on diet-
*prefer skimmed milk and its products instead of whole cream dairy products.
*avoid saturated fats completely and prefer unsaturated oils instead.
*prefer white meat to red meat, and egg white to whole egg.
*avoid vegetables like potatoes, yam, sweet potatoes, green peas and carrots in your diet. Rest you may have all the vegetables.
*avoid having foods rich in proteins and fats for dinners as they take longer time for digestion.
*do exercise regularly,it will help to reduce weight faster.
