If you don't mind the pain then by all means go ahead and do it. It is completely up to you. I know many middle aged women who attend martial arts classes, so dancing is child's play compared to that. But I would advice you to take it slow and start off with shorter sessions. You can increase the time period as your body gets accustomed to the routine. There are several different types of dances that you can opt for as well. Salsa and hip hop are the most difficult but they are fun. :) Good luck with your endeavors.

    Hi Bhavana,
Dancing is a all time favorite workout for most peoples. Even 50 year old lady may have a great fitness level. You can surely go for it if your fitness and health is allowing you to do so. But if you are a lady with any joint problems then i would suggest you to avoid any dancing workout sessions. Go for aqua dance. This would best suit for any lady with even moderate fitness level.
