First of all do not rush with the wound as it may later get septic with wring handling of it. When in tie of a burn wound first treat your hand with lots of water as water helps bring the temperature of the wound and the body / skin temperature back to normal. Then check with the size of the burn, if it's a major one then please I would ask you to go to a hospital immediately and if it's a small one them treat it with ice after the water bit. Hold the ice for some time then apply some ointment or even toothpaste will also do as toothpastes are cooling and soothing for injuries like burns.
