When you need to have your blood tested, your doctor will advise you to have your last meal 10 to 12 hours before you give your blood sample. This is not to inconvenience you, but to get the best result. The food you eat can affect the result giving you a false conclusion. All blood tests may not require you to do the same. You strictly need to stick to the time lines when you have been asked to. This will give you the most accurate result. You can pack some food along with you and have it after the blood sample has been given.
