BP can be primary or secondary. Primary BP do not have any specific cause. Secondary BP is caused due to increased viscocity in blood primarily due to excess salt [Nacl] as in kidney problems. Conditions like diabetes, hyper-cholesterolemia, obesity, overweight etc also cause secondary BP but mostly systemic.
The triggers for increase in BP are genetics, stress and or environmental factors.
Factors which reduce BP primarily include a modified dietary and lifestyle patterns like salt less diet [use rock salt as a substitute], increased water intake, and de-stressing.
Signs like increased tension, stress, anger and palpitation usually indicate BP but again they indicate only after the manifestation of BP to a certain extent
Natural remedies to prevent BP include dietary modifications like substitution of normal table salt with rock salt, reducing the intake of underground starchy vegetables like potatoes, beets, etc as they are rich in natural salts, plenty of water and whole fruit juices. Life style modifications like reducing puffs, de-stressing activities like Pranayama and meditation will dramatically help controlling BP
