    Hello! Interesting question! But I don't think that there would be any side effects to eating amla. Unless of course, you are allergic to it, which is very rare. Very rare indeed! But my cousins daughter was allergic to amla when she was a kid and she used to get red rashes on her skin. So we completely stopped giving her amla for a while. But I guess that stage has passed now and she has outgrown that particular allergy. So I don't know if you are one of them but I doubt that anyone will be allergic to amla when they are an adult.

    @Gaurav
    No side effects are found in amla, infact it has innumerable medicinal benefits. Amla has been traditionally used for many chronic conditions including diabetes. Research has been done evaluating its role as an antioxidant, in ulcer prevention, for people with diabetes, for mental and memory effects, and its anti-inflammatory properties.
    Amla is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, its fresh juice containing nearly twenty times as much vitamin C as orange juice.
    It is a powerful herb and has excellent rejuvenating power. It has been used in ayurvedic medications for curing diseases like peptic ulcer, anorexia, hyperacidity, anemia etc.
