can anyone tell me about the functions of soyabeans.

    Soybeans are legumes and one of the richest source of protein. Soy is used as oil as well as vegetable curry. Soybean is considered as complete protein. Daily consumption of soybean may also reduce the risk of colon cancer.

    I agree with you aprupa..Soyabean has isoflavones a kind of antioxidant that prevents colon cancer. Besides the fiber presnt in it also helps in maintaining blood sugar levels. The oil extracted from soya bean is good in unsaturated fatty acids and omega 3 fatty acids that are very good for hearts health. The soya milk is a good substitute for milk to those who are having lactose intolerance.
