There are many burn remedies that you can opt for using daily household items, if ever you get affected by a second degree burn. If the affected area looks blotchy, wet and red, then the burn can be classified as a second degree burn. The best thing that you can do to treat such burns is soak your towel in some cold water (not too cold) and use this as a compress. This is for the wounds that don't have open blisters. For the ones that have open blisters, you can treat the affected region by using running water and by covering the wound with gauze.
