Running in heat puts a great deal of challenge to the body’s thermoregulatory mechanism, improper dressing can not only decrement performance but can also pose a threat to thermoregulation. Take care of some of the things which can help you to decrease the effects of heat stress:
*Wear loose fitting clothing which will keep your body airy and allow skin to breath. Tight fitted clothing’s can restrict the body from cooling naturally. Make sure the fabric is comfortable and effective in moving perspiration away from the body and through the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly and allowing the wearer to feel cooler. Prefer synthetic blend specialized fabric.
    * Shoes and socks should allow the free circulation of air and keep feet dry. Lack of proper shoes and socks can lead to excessive sweating which will keep feet wet and may cause blisters, fungal infection etc.
*Choose light color shades which reflects heat and avoid dark colors which tends to absorb heat.
*Use sunscreen lotion prior to start with run. Prolong exposure in sun can lead to sun burns, tanning etc. To avoid that use sun screen with appropriate SPF (sun protection factor).
*Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays by using sun glasses.
