Yes it is very much safe to exercise with light workout during periods because it is being proved that it helps in relieving the pain which a woman gets during the periods. It helps to reduce the cramps which one experiences. But the only thing which should be taken care is that the pour out of the blood shouldn't happen. Its better you wear a good quality pad but also see to it that the pads don't leak. This can be avoided by wearing a spandex shorts under your exercise gear in order to keep the pads in proper position. If you are in the habit of wearing a tampon then you should try wearing a tampon and pad together.

    Hi Swati,
Mansi is right. Exercising with low intensity exercises is really fine during periods. Exercises is a stress buster, helps in depression, psychological uplifting , and a good pain killer. So you can exercise, but dont over stress yourself as high intensity exercises requires high blood supply to muscles which is bad during periods.
