Is is good to run twice a day?

I run for half an hr in the morning in open and then I go to Gym at around 3 p.m.

I workout on treadmill for around 40 mins and do other high and low intense exercises for another 40 mins(includes cycling for 15 mins and cross trainer 15 mins).

Is it good for heath.I want to loose weight.

Exercise is wonderful thing to maintain ur weight, health as well. NO problem to run twice a day but alone with workout focus on good & balanced diet, as you doing more of exercise, you need more of protein rich foods like sprouts, dal, legumes, egg white, skinless chicken, fish, etc.

Running is good form of cardio workout and considered one of the best ways to lose weight. Running twice or even thrice a day in not harmful provided your body is recovered from the previous workout sessions. If you feel tired and/or pain or any discomfort in lower limbs then it means your body is still in the recovery phase and need some more time to recover. Training yourself under such circumstances can increase the risk of injury or overtraining syndrome.
I will suggest you to go for some other activity like strength training as it also aids in losing weight by elevating your metabolic rate or else increase the gap between your workouts if possible say for example, instead of going to gym at 3p.m. go in the evening.
Always remember, weight loss is a gradual process and should be achieved gradually. Working out smartly is more important than working out hard. Apart from this as Sujeetha said diet is also important and you need to consider it as well.

there is nothing wrong in running twice a day. But i would suggest you to use this alternative approach.

In case after your first run in the morning (30 mins) you feel tired and thats the reason you do the second session later in the noon then give a break of about 2-3 mins after your first run, replenish yourself with some water, some glucose and then try running again. The water, salts and glucose would give you some energy back for your subsequent round and the two break runs in the morning would mean you have a non-stop recovery time of 24 hours before your next run.

Alternatively you can also increase your 30 mins by about 2 mins per 2-5 days till you reach your cumilative period across day+noon. Once you are able to reach this skip your noon running session.
