Where are you preparing to go? Long distance walking is very similar to running and you must prepare for it before you start your walk. Drinks lots of water and hydrate yourself as walking for long distances can be taxing. Make sure that your muscles are loose and ready for walking. You might injure yourself if your muscles are tight and cramped. When you start your long distance walk, start with small steps. This will help your body get used to the movement. Increase your speed slowly, but don’t overdo it as you need to conserve energy for the whole walk.

    Hi Shobha,
To walk for a long distance we need to to work on our endurance so as to improve our performance. Aso ,we need to keep our posture relaxed like keeping our back and neck straight so as to avoid any injuries to back. We need to keep our upper body relaxed and shoulders a bit retracted so as to improve our lung capacity and take more oxygen.
