Developing a good breathing technique when running increases not only the efficiency but also the endurance power of your body. Your runs become very relaxed. Follow these three steps to develop your very own breathing technique. First determine how many steps you can take while on single breathing cycle. Start by inhaling slowly as you cover the first six to eight steps, and once you have inhaled completely, begin to exhale slowly as you cover the next six to eight steps. This will determine the number of steps you can comfortably cover in a single breathing cycle. The next step involves picking the foot you want to go with your breathing cycle. The third step is a repetition of what you have been doing. Remember it’s your rhythm of breathing that helps you run comfortably.

    Hi Deeksha,
Mamtha is right. But the number of steps varies from individual to individual depending on height and weight of a person.
