Exercise after pneumonia

Can I exercise after pneumonia ?

    Yes you can exercise after pneumonia. Although you need to take care of certain things before you start your exercises. First of all do not indulge yourself in cardio or running exercises as these put direct pressure on the lungs and thus that would make you cough and there are chances you would have wheezing. Also you can start with light weight exercises and train yourself till your lungs are clean enough. After that only you start with the cardio and other running exercises. Other than that you can also start with yoga as it would enhance your lungs to some extent.

    Yes, you can do exercise but make sure with doctor because any upper respiratory illness can make cardio exercise very difficult & put more pressure on ur lungs & heart. This could put you at risk for making worse again. You should take proper rest with balanced diet - full of antioxidants which helps to improve ur immunity.

    I’ll suggest you to go for simple walk or simple breathing exercise or simple yoga but before going to to any exercise better to consult with doctor or physiotherapy. Taking care of yourself is more important & help you to heal very fast & improve ur health as well.
