It normally occurs as a result of spasms or stomach cramps. The bouncing motion causes the organs in the body including your abdominal walls, stomach, liver and spleen, to be bounced around. The motion stretches and compacts, organs and tissue, causing pain. This pain is typically felt either in the pit of your stomach or on the sides of your abdomen. Dehydration is another culprit, spasms also occur if you have insufficient water or body fluids during the time spasms are occurring. This happens when you tend to perspire a lot, and with no water in your body, your stomach cramps.
