Whey Protien

I have been working out for over a couple of months now and am trying to loose weight. My trainer suggested that I have Whey Protien (isolates) to help build muscle. Is it safe or does it have any side effects?

It is safe if you are consuming it in moderation and doing workouts regularly. You also have to ensure that the whey protein you are consuming is of high quality. This is because there are lot of low quality and fake products available in the market.

    Hi Saunskruti,

Having protein supplements in excess amounts can lead to complications. Some reports have shown that a protein overload can cause stomach trouble, dehydration, gout, and calcium loss, as well as damage to the liver and kidneys. So make sure that the quantity you r consuming is in moderation and you r doing enough muscle training for it.

The question asked by you is good but it's answer is given by only a person and he is your trainer. Only he'll tell you that is it good for you or not because recently he is your trainer and only he knows that which type of supplement is required by your body. By the way this protein powder will not harm for your body but in some rare cases it happens. So please ask for your trainer for it and if he says that it is good than you have not required to ask any other person about it.

Whey protein contains high levels of essential & branched chain amino acids. This protein is more effective for weight loss, improves the muscle mass health, increase the immunity level. Generally 20-25gm of whey protein is recommended in a day.
