What to eat before cardio?

    Cardio exercises require a lot of energy to be performed. So before a cardio workout, you need to eat food that will give you lots of energy while at the same time not fattening. Best food items to have before a cardio workout include fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, oatmeal, and low-fat milk. You can have food that is rich in protein as well, but ensure that you consume products like meat, two to three hours before your workout. Things to avoid before a cardio workout include junk food, sodas, candy, and high- calorie food. These are not only unhealthy but also take a long time to digest. If a proper gap before a workout is not maintained, it can make you feel sick during the workout.

    Any cardio exercise need energy to do properly without tiredness. Before doing any exercise or cardio exercise, eat complex carbohydrate like whole cereals, fruits, vegetables salad or sprout salads or drink any fresh fruit juices like lemon juice or orange juice or sweet lime juice or mix veg juices. Skimmed milk - 1 cup or multigrain biscuits, high fiber biscuits. As pranita mentioned in above discussion- things to avoid before exercise is nice information. Oily foods or any fatty or sugary foods are not advisable for healthy person. Without eating or drinking anything may feel tiredness or sudden weakness so better to eat very small amount of healthy snack or any healthy drink is very good.

    Hey Olivia,
    You can take anything in form of liquid but make sre it does not have much of carbs or fat in it. Have a healthy drink before 40 min if starting your cardio workout.
