If you fill your stomach up to its brim before any workout, you are going to en by feeling nauseated. It's important that you eat just enough so your body is well fuelled to tackle all those exercise without your feeling hungry midway through. A large meal will leave you feeling sluggish, nauseated or you will experience stomach cramps. To fuel your workout, you require the right type of food and that should be a light meal that allows you to burn fat. Your meal should contain protein, carbohydrates and fiber and you should wait out 2 hours before you hit the gym. You can safely consume toasted bread, pasta, fruits and vegetables before your workout. In between your workout, if you do get hungry then just snack on a fruit or enjoy a sports beverage or fruit juice.

I agree with you Neha..eating a heavy meal just before a workout is not a good idea. Its better that you have something very light or wait for at least 2 hours after a heavy meal.
