    Almonds are said to be wonder nut,because of its following properties-
    *it is rich in vitamin E,iron,calcium,magnesium.
    *it helps to reduce the bad type of cholesterol and increase the good type of cholesterol.Thus helps to prevent heart disease.
    *almonds are very good for children,pregnant women and lactating mothers.
    *its very good for the skin and hair.

    Almonds are a good source of dietary fiber as well as protein, which makes it a great food for calorie control. While, several foods are excellent sources of one of the components, almonds contain both, protein and fiber.
    Almonds have monosaturated fats, which can help in reducing the level of LDL cholesterol.
    Almonds are packed with minerals that do a world of good for bone health. Rich in phosphorus, manganese, magnesium and calcium, these minerals maintain bone density. Including almonds in our daily diets is a good idea because of the health benefits – from essential minerals to absorbable protein, almonds are a nutrient-rich diet.
    Almond is a good source of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which can reduce the chances of cataract, cardiac diseases and cancers. Vitamin E is also good for building healthy tissues and blood cells.
    Oil of Vitamin E can also apply on skin to get good skin. Benefits of vitamin E oil include rejuvenation and increased growth of new cells on the skin.
    Almond nutrition includes folic acid or folate, a B-vitamin that can reduce the chances of birth defects in unborn babies and is also good for making red blood cells. Folate also protects the heart from cardiac problems like stroke and heart attacks.
    Almonds contain iron, which helps to carry oxygen to the organs and cells.

    Almond is rich in minerals like Mangnese, Magnesium, Copper, Phosphorus, Iron, Zinc and Potassium. However, Selenium is also present in good amount.small nuts are a powerhouse of Vitamin E, Riboflavin, Thiamin, Niacin and Folate. Good amounts of Vitamin B6 and Pantothenic Acid are also present.

    Some of the benefits of almonds are given below:
    *Almonds are good source of many nutrients which are helpful for brain function. Almonds are considered as an essential food item for growing children.
    *Regular consumption of almonds helps to increase the level of HDL(good fat) & reduces the level of LDL(bad fat). Thus it is more effective for reducing the bad cholesterol & good for heart health.
    *The presence of potassium , magnesium, goods fat in almonds & Vitamin E acts as antioxidant which reduce s the risk of heart disease.
    *It is very good for skin which is good in Vitamin E. It is recommended for many skin diseases.
    *Potassium in Almonds regulates the blood pressure, normally almonds are low in sodium which is good for Bp patients.
    *Almonds are help in reducing the rise of sugar level & insulin level after meals. This offers productions from diabetes.
    *Almonds improves foods from the colon thus it prevents the colon cancer & relives constipation.
    *The presence of riboflavin, manganese & copper are helping to boost the energy.
    *Studies showed the result , almonds are low in calories, contains good fat, dietary fibers which maintains the appetite level & helpful in weight loss.

    Wonderful input. Will try to include atleast 5 in day. It can be considered as one of the most nutritious dry fruit nut.
