Some studies have shown that vitamins can prevent or stop cancer from occurring. For example vitamin D is known for preventing rectal cancer and other forms of cancer as well. Vitamins and cancer are related to an extent. But the body requires a daily vitamin intake and you need to make sure that you fulfill this. More importantly lack of vitamin in the body can lead to vitamin deficiency and other problems. In order to avoid this you can either consume vitamins from natural sources or from supplements. Sunlight is a good source of vitamin D and you don't need any supplements.
