The body requires a constant source of vitamins and vitamin A is very important for the proper functioning of the metabolism. Vitamin A is extremely important for the immune system of humans. Vitamin A along with retinol acid is responsible for the formation of white blood cells. Some studies also suggest that Vitamin A is helpful in fighting and prevention of cancer. Problems with the deficiency of Vitamin A can lead to night blindness and other problems related to the eye. Mild deficiency causes Bitot spots and dryness of the skin. Extra supplement of Vitamin A is needed when your daily diet does not contain enough of nutrients. Try to include food rich in vitamin A such as carrots, cod liver oil, organ meats, fortified butter, eggs etc. Otherwise no need to take.
