Sugars are rich in carbohydrates and they provide excellent energy to the body. A constant consumption of products that are rich in sugar is necessary as long as they are burnt regularly. However, sugar has a downside as well and you can get addicted to it quite easily. Artificial sweeteners are much sweeter than despite the fact that they have a low caloric value. There is a good chance that you will develop a sweet tooth if use artificial sweeteners on a regular basis. Sugar can also cause glucose levels to rise rapidly and in some cases cause diabetes as well.
