Most diet plans offer a low carb count and this is the base for losing weight quickly. When you lower your daily carb intake your body will not build up any new fat and you will be able to burn some of the existing fat in your body. This is how most diet plans work. When you are on a low carb diet plan you must increase your protein intake as well. Your body requires energy and proteins will be able to provide fat free energy. You can also opt for a fruit based or a juice based low carb diet.
