It is very important to eat something before you start with your workout. Various physiological changes takes place when you workout. With these changes energy requirement of the body also increases and it’s very important to fuel the body by nutritious and energy loaded pre workout meal. It is important to know what to eat and when to eat.Your pre workout should be rich in easily digestible and absorbable carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the best energy fuels. Avoid fats as it is slow to digest and takes long time to absorb. Take adequate amount of fluids to ensure adequate hydration. Take care of proper timings consuming a large meal, needs time for digestion therefore, it is important to have it 3-4 hours prior to exercise. If the meal is more of a snack, try 1-2 hours prior.
