Flattened rice is also known as beaten rice. It is essentially dehusked rice, flattened into a light, dry form of flat flakes.. It is popular across Nepal, India and Bangladesh. It is low fat and sodium containing. It prevents cholesterol. The flakes tend to swell in the presence of a liquid such as milk or even water. This is the most digestible form of raw rice and is very useful when it comes to controlling blood pressure. Therefore this type of rice is very good for health. It is useful in making very light snacks and all types of light fast food. It can be eaten raw by adding sugar or salt.
