Macrobiotic diet is a low fat, high fiber diet and basically a vegetarian diet consisting more of whole grains and vegetables. It can be followed throughout your life, but sometimes in a week you can have other forms of diet eliminating the fiber foods. As too much of fiber will decrease the calcium absorption in the body. So sometimes have calcium rich foods and avoid high fiber whole grains.
