Get rid of junk food: You need to eliminate all the sugary foods in your house. These even include fruit juices, ketchup and breakfast cereals. Let your breakfast include more of protein. Proteins take longer to digest and thus they will stabilize your blood sugar, making your cravings for sugar less. Limit alcohol: Alcohol is made from sugar and is sugar in its simplest form. Avoid drinking it in the beginning of your recovery. Whenever you go out to buy any sweet, remember to read the labels and check how % of sugar content is in it. This way there is a thought that has gone towards your health.Try and drink as much water as possible.Drinking plain water will help you remain full and hence will avoid intake of other cold-drinks and beverages in the form of coke, Pepsi, fruit juices, etc.

Eat breakfast, eat protein with every meal or snack, eat low GI foods, and eat at regular intervals. All of these things will stabilize your blood sugar, so that your moods and energy are at an even keel.
