The food tastes very bland or no taste at all, because the sense of taste is somehow linked to your sense to smell and if your nose is blocked, you are unable to breathe properly, how will you smell?
Even if your nose is fine, try holding your nose and taste something, what happened-no taste or a confused taste?
Sometimes it results in loss of interest in food, nothing excites you to eat but avoid doing it completely otherwise you will take more time to return to the normal state.
