How can i use/cook white rice and get benefits of Brown Rice

I am following a diet plan in which brown rice is given as a food item. I do not want to purchase brown rice. Is there any way of cooking by which Carbohydrates of white rice can be reduced.

    Brown rice is not low in calories. It just has more fibres than white/polished rice, so it takes more calorie to digest and the fibre content helps in completing the digestion process.

    If you really can't have brown rice, try this:

    1. Use access water to cook plain white rice and throw the water out of it after the cooking is done.
    2. Have lot of salad along with the rice, to compensate for the fibres in brown rice.

    Another thing which I have heard is multiple heating of rice.

    So you cook rice and leave it for half an hour. Then you heat it again in a microwave or an iron pan. leave it again for half an hour. Finally before eating, heat it once again in a microwave or an iron pan.

    It converts the rice starch into a non energy releasing form called "resistance starch" and thus reduces the calories in rice.

    Yes, i agree with above discussion, Reheating method will reduces the calories in the rice. You can dalia other wise , it is good in fibers & b-vitamins which is good for weight loss.
