Has any one tried using Herbalife products?

Wanted to know if any one has tried Herbalife products? Are they safe? I bought myself some Shake and protein powder. I took it for a couple of days and it seems to be effective - in the sense, it is a filling breakfast and I dont get hungry fast. But I am a little worried and want to know if it is ok to take this for a while

Certain ingredients in some of the Herbalife products may cause side effects for certain people. Here are three ingredients that could possibly cause side effects:
    1) CAFFEINE:- Some herbalife products contain caffeine as metabolism booster. It can cause nervousness, headaches and higher blood pressure. If you are allergic to caffeine you should avoid the products that include caffeine.

    2) PROTEIN / SOY :- Some people are allergic to concentrated protein. Although the body has protein in our cells, the problem occurs when too much protein upsets the balance in the body’s ability to process protein.

    3) SHELLFISH :- According to Herbalife certain products contain shellfish, so if you are allergic to shellfish then avoid certain products.
Diarrhea and constipation have been reported by some individuals who used Herbalife supplements, especially in the first few weeks of use. In a report published by the "Journal of Hepatology" in 2007, there has been an association between the use of Herbalife products and sudden extremely acute hepatitis.

Stay away from any kind of powders or food supplements. There is no short-cut!!!

Go in a healthy way. Make your diet healthy. Include some physical activity in your daily routine. And have a good diet routine. Take good breakfast and light dinner. Take 5 small meals rather than 3 big meals in a day, you would see the effect.

    All the best!

I have personnally tried them...BUT do not like them...Like most have said here..Jitters & for me sleeplessness.
Try to find a diet program out there where you do not have to take a pill or drink a powder or buy frozen dinners or do some kind of weird eat a day off a day...Their are so many different ways to lose weight out there. Most of them work for a while. But we usually lose interest or just can't afford them anymore...research is the key!!

    Good luck!

Thanks every one for your responses. I decided to not continue with Herbalife.. I am yet to find the motivation to do anything else towards weight loss.

Hi, I did try herbalife shakes a few years back. Although I did not experience any side effect but also did not get any benefits from it. Actually I felt very weak after taking these products - i don't know whether it was because of the shakes or because I cut down on my food intake as was directed for losing weight! I found walking, yoga and a healthy food regime beneficial for weight loss.
