    Hi surekha,

Eat slowly by chewing the food thoroughly. This will help in proper digestion and prevention of gastritis.
Have small meals followed by a snack. This will give time for your stomach to break down the food and digest properly.Do not Eat Full Stomach.
    Diet for gastritis:
Include : Leafy vegetables, wheat bran, unpolished rice, fresh fruits, vegetable salads, coconut water, carrot juice, banana, low dairy foods.
Reduce the qty of this foods :Coffee, alcohol, whole milk, cream, meat, pork, orange juice, soda, spicy foods, hot cocoa, beans, broccoli.

    Hope this will help you.

    Thank u

Thanks Sujeetha for the reply. Let me explain my condition. (I just registered with Lifemojo and did not expect to see a reply so soon)
For the past few months I'm suffering of severe belching. Visited Appollo Hospital and got an endoscopy done and all the tests... blood, urine, ECG etc done. Doctor concluded it is mild acute gastritis and gave medicines... Neksium 40mg and Librax. I'm taking the medicine, the problem has partly subsided, but I still suffer of bouts of belching. People tell me that digestive problems are due to stress. I do not have any reason to say that I'm under stress....

By the way I have also visited Viniyoga Yoga Kendra at Besantnagar, chennai and they have prescribed a few asanas and breathing exercises, which I do regularly. I cannot do breathing exercises properly as it triggers belching.

My diet consists of boiled vegetables, fruits and non spicy, non oily healthy food. I am taking ragi malt and oats too. I have been asked not to eat raw salads by Viniyoga. I cannot eat sprouts and salads. Now a days even fruits are triggering belching.

I do not know what to do to achieve a complete cure.
