@ Himanshu .....If you are including any iron or calcium rich things for enhancing the mineral content of your breakfast then tea will have adverse impact. The tannins in it will precipitate the calcium and iron making it unavailable for the body to absorb. So ultimately,it reduces the nutritional quality of your breakfast .

Few more things we should keep in mind when trying different combination, like don't mix more than two fruits in fruit salad.., don't mix more than two vegetable juices together to maximise the effect of healthy foods.

Talking about right combination, its advisable to cook your green leafy veg in an acidic medium like lemon and tomatoes, for better absorption of iron. as iron absorption is enhanced in a acidic medium.

That's a good article. We have heard some other combination's as well like , Fenugreek doesn't go with mutton, Pappad doesn't go with curd, milk and banana shouldn't be consumed together, Fish and curd are opposite food and so on..

hi nitin ... basically 2 types of protein when consumed together , they are a little heavy for our system to digest and we may land into gastric trouble .. thats the reason y you should avoid dal and curd together .. mad bread and milk combination is scientifically fine .. there isnt any problem .. but the alternative medicine streams dont really approve this combination.

    hey sunil,

scientifically talking fruit shakes or milkshakes with fruits are very nutritious and cause no harm at all. yes according to ayurveda this combination is better avoided. i dont think there is any harm in taking this combination as long as you enjoy it and dont have any unwanted reaction later on. yes one should be careful while mixing citrus fruits in milk, like oranges and pineapple. but otherwise a fruit shake can be really relishing !

hey sunil, you can choose a wode variety of fruits to go with milk, like apple, banana, strawberries, green apple , pears , mango, seetaphal, chikku, and amongst those to be strictly avaoided, its the citrus fruits like orange and pineapple , melons etc. even these combi is ok .. but you have to be very very careful while preparing, so the best deal is enjoy these fruits as it is or in juice forms rather than with milk.
