    Hi Kaala

Dried cranberries( sweetened) contains high calories which is 300 calories per cup. So better to avoid this as a snack for obesity. Fresh one are good have as a snack. Raisins are also high in calories.

Choose healthy snacks like high fiber biscuits, fruits, veg salad, sprouts salad, steamed corn, steamed ground nut, buttermilk, fresh lemon juice, tender coconut water, brown bread S/W, brown bread toast.

Thanks Sujeetha. But the issue is sweet tooth. We have sweet tooth running very high in the family and it is extremely difficult to be away from sweets all of a sudden. Hence was looking for healthier sweet alternatives - ie: apart from sweet fruits .... we have the habit of munching snacks - so now gulab jamuns, rasgullas are banned in the house. We just found out the dried cranberries are delicious as well as healthy.... but the unsweetened ones are too bitter. Hence was looking for sweet options... You are right - those dried sweetened cranberries have high calories... so worried what we can have as an alternative to indulge. Hope those gulab jamuns, rasgullas and the halwas dont make a re entry into our household... :-)

    Hi kaala

Try to reduce the intake. Think of ur weight & avoid such foods items because you already in obesity so better to choose healthier food habits. You can treat your self once a while but qty is very important to maintain ur health & weight.

    Hi Kaala

Raisin also contains same amount of calories but very small qty like 4 no is ok. Better go for one dates in a day which is good for health as well it helpful for sweet tooth.
