    I agree to you Anika.
This is an extremely useful artciel for working people like me. We forget about our health now a days while we stay busy with our work/life. If we can spend a little bit of time everyday taking care of our healh, it would be very beneficial in long term.

@payal-Green tea is a good option..one more thing can be done..just start the day with a glass of luke warm water with lemon which helps to kick start the metabolism and lemon water which helps to remove toxins out of the body and leaves you energetic through out the day and it is also helpful in weight reduction..

"DEEP BREATHING" while traveling on the way to office or way back to home, nourishes every cell of our body n promotes relaxation. It also lowers blood pressure, reduces sleeplessness, headache, backache which r caused due to stress. Deep breathing along with awareness of abdominal movements strengthens abdominal muscles also.

Having a relaxed meal is as important as the food that u r consuming.. Eating food quickly may cause a type of indigestion called gastro oesophageal reflux.. This condition is when the stomach contents (eg food, stomach acid and other digestive juices) travel back from the stomach into the oesophagus. This causes a burning pain, often called heartburn. So trying to make some good time for your meals is very important..

That's very informative. Dr. Shikha is my personal favourite since I take up her advice for shedding down weight at regular intervals. I also have tried implementing this on myself, the outcome is wonderful. I have lost 1.5 kgs in a week already.

In addition, have fruits in between. Generally, the ideal way to take fruits is early in the morning. Otherwise, you can have in the midmorning or in the evening.

pls suggest can wehave aplain chappati in the morning bcos since im a working mother it becames difficult to cook seprately..
  • Posted July 18, 2011 at 8:17 AM
Hi Parul, Plain chapathi is no harm but why dont you prepare a small quantity of the side dish the previous night only? This way your morning time would not be consumed cooking. If not that you can have it with any of the dry chutneys.. Another alternative would be switching to cereals, oats and plain sandwiches or toasts, which you would be able to prepare in very less time..

archana thanks aton for replying im a mother of two kids myself..... in terms of calorie count bread andchappati r they same...
oats is a good option but i dont like the taste,,,,pls reaply if i take a plain chappati will it leadto weight gain....
  • Posted July 19, 2011 at 4:34 AM
Hi Parul, it would not lead to weight gain.. But i would suggest you to add wheat bran to wheat flour in 1:3 (1 of wheat bran:3 of wheat flour) proportion. This helps you in increasing your fibre intake, which helps in weight loss.
