The basic principle is that the diet should be low in fats,simple sugars,starch and high in complex carbohydrates,fibers and low fat proteins. Foods like saturated fats,sweets,alcohol,red meats,egg yolk,white rice,starchy vegetables and some of the fruits should be completely avoided,or taken in very less amounts.
