Diabetes is not a disease but only a deficiency disorder,it is life long disorder,Although it has no cure,it can be managed through diet , exercise, lifestyle modification .The pancreas produces insulin. The insulin keeps the blood sugar under control, insulin production is not enough or available insulin is ineffective. The sugar in the blood does converted into energy. This raised blood sugar is called Diabetes.

IT's a form of diabetes mellitus that results from autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas. The subsequent lack of insulin leads to increased blood and urine glucose. It is commonly seen in children hence also called as juvenile diabetes. The classical symptoms of polyuria (frequent urination), polydipsia (increased thirst), polyphagia (increased hunger), and weight loss result.
